Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world and the second ever built. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

t's a gloriously ghastly double feature at our drive-in this week as we debut two of the most iconic ghost stories ever to haunt the big screen! Two film-famous haunted houses come together in this pairing of the Tobe Hooper masterpiece and special-effects rollercoaster, POLTERGEIST, followed by THE AMITYVILLE HORROR: a cinematic retelling of the infamous haunting of a young New York family.
