Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen.
Located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.
Well this is exciting! We have been nominated to participate in USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice competition for “Best Drive-In Theater.” This is a NATIONAL contest, and we're up against some incredible competition. This is our third year in the contest. In 2024, we placed fifth, and last year, to our absolute amazement, we placed SECOND!

We are premiering the highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic, MICHAEL, with a special early screening this Thursday, April 23 and running through Sunday, April 26.
For our cofeature, we're finally bringing the sci-fi action epic that's taken the box office by storm, PROJECT HAIL MARY! We've had a lot of requests for both features, and we're happy to be able to make this double feature possible!

8:15pm - Michael - PG13
10:30pm - Project Hail Mary - PG13

Our snack bar's neon isn't just pink, it's not fuschia, it's not flamingo, it's actually magenta, and it will be lit up on April 30 for the premiere weekend of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2!
To complement this film, our friends from Meesha Aesthetics will be with us at the theater providing information about their aesthetic and wellness services!
We'll also have movie-inspired cookies for sale from fan-favorite Hayden's Confections!
