Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world and the second ever built. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

On Wednesday, December 3, Shankweiler's presents the drive-in premiere of PENNSYLVANIA MOVIE, a psychological thriller that was shot and produced locally in the Philadelphia area and has gained a following on TikTok for its grassroots DIY production style. Filmmaker Michael DiMonte writes, directs, and stars in the micro-budget feature, showcasing the tenacity and dedication of today's indie filmmakers.
About Pennsylvania Movie: During the COVID-19 lockdown, a man retreats to his family's Pennsylvania vacation home, where he rediscovers his old filmmaking gear and sets out to direct a film. Unbeknownst to him, someone else is watching

On Saturday, December 6, our Holiday Matinee series kicks off with the cult Christmas classic, GREMLINS!
