Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen.
Located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

Jack Black and Paul Rudd star in this unique spirited “sequel” to the 1997 creature feature that became a pop-cult sensation, ANACONDA. This movie takes the idea of a remake in a wacky and fun new direction. Plus, there's a giant snake (spoilers?), and maybe even a surprise cameo or two! You'll just have to see it!
After intermission, we venture out of the Amazon and back under the ocean for the return of THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SEARCH FOR SQUAREPANTS.

On January 16, 17, & 18, a legendary tradition returns to Shankweiler's Drive-In Theatre! John Carpenter's sub-zero shocker, THE THING, will be presented as a double feature with Stanley Kubrick's equally chilling masterpiece, THE SHINING!
All year long, stories of this event are told and retold under hushed voices in theater lobbies and drive-in lots across the region. Get ready to snuggle up and settle in for one of the most immersive and terrifying big screen experiences that you can only get at our wintertime drive-in!

Markipliers's IRON LUNG comes to Shankweiler's Drive-In! The Emmy nominated Youtube star brings his first theatrical release to our massive outdoor screen under stars in a legendary and unprecedented world premiere. Iron Lung is based on the cult hit videogame of the same name.
About Iron Lung: In a post-apocalyptic future after "The Quiet Rapture" event, a convict explores a blood ocean on a desolate moon using a submarine called the "Iron Lung" to search for missing stars/planets.
