Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen.
Located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.
On Saturday, April 4, we're hosting our second annual Spring Egg Hunt at Shankweiler's!
We'll scatter thousands of eggs under our iconic drive-in screen for an all-ages hunt starting at approximately 7:15pm ahead of the movies. This year, we will have special Nintendo twist with some of our eggs being themed around the drive-in premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie!
To ensure everyone has the best experience, participants will be grouped by age: starting with children ages 3 and under, followed by ages 4–7, and finally ages 8 and up. A host will be on hand to "referee" the activity and keep it running smoothly.
Be sure to look out for a visit from a very special bunny friend who will be hopping onto the field for photos and fun!
