Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world and the second ever built. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

Drive-ins have always been a popular destination for couples seeking a romantic night out, so when we heard that the Cinema Foundation is putting together a national “Date Night @ the Movies,” we knew we had to be a part of it!
From August 22 thru 27, we present a double feature of a new comedy, THE NAKED GUN followed by a thrilling horror hit, TOGETHER!
We will also be offering a preorder Date Night Snack Pack deal each night that can be purchased ahead of time and redeemed in the snack bar. Visit our website to learn more about these offerings.

It’s been our single most requested show of the season, and we’re thrilled to bring some serious bite to our big screen under the stars.
Of course, the drive-in experience isn't complete without the iconic double feature. Our cofeature will be the recent summer smash-hit, TWISTERS
