Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world and the second ever built. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.
The big game is this Sunday (Go Birds)! We're taking the night off to root for our Eagles, but we're not leaving you empty-handed! To help facilitate celebratory snackage, you can preorder these giant bags of the best popcorn in the Lehigh Valley and pick them up at the theater ahead of the game! Shankweiler's popcorn is popped right here at the drive-in.
Popcorn preorders are available now, and will close at 9:00pm on Saturday night.
Popcorn orders will be available for pickup between 2:00pm and 4:00pm on Sunday, 2/9.

This week, we have a special limited engagement of the original BLADE! After Wesley Snipes brought his legendary character back to the big screen last summer in Deadpool 3, we've received numerous requests to play the 1998 film that brought new "life" to the vampire genre. With the recent release of Nosferatu, vampires have been on our minds lately! Of course, it's not a drive-in movie without the iconic double feature, and we're excited to present an often-overlooked and, as our friend Mr. Lobo would put it, "misunderstood" addition to the vampire genre, VAMPIRE IN BROOKLYN!

Ever since drive-ins became a mainstream moviegoing option, they've been a popular destination for couples seeking a romantic night out. On Valentine's Day weekend, Shankweiler's invites you to Date Night at the Drive-In! We've carefully curated a double feature pairing of THE NOTEBOOK, an essential romantic classic that will tug at your heartstrings, alongside COMPANION, a new release dark comedy thriller that promises to keep you on the edge of your seat and holding onto one another!
We'll have this double feature all week, but on Friday, February 14th, we'll have a few very special additions to elevate your date night! We've teamed up with Abby from The Aging Moon, a Bethlehem based cheese shop, to offer craft cheese boards for two! The board will feature two cheeses, one charcuterie selection, and a beautiful assortment of seasonal accompaniments, including honey and crackers—perfect for sharing under the stars!
These cheeseboards are PRE-ORDER ONLY and can be purchased on our online ticketing page. You can still purchase movie tickets in advance or at the gate on the night of the show. The cheeseboards can be ordered up to a few days before the event.
County Seat Spirits, an Allentown-based craft distillery, will also be joining us on Friday! They will have local cocktail offerings for our 21+ audience!
