Weather Update, July 16: This is our final night for Minions & Monsters followed by 1999's The Mummy, and we've been getting calls from folks excited to catch the show tonight. Air quality conditions have been fluctuating all day. We plan to show the movies, but we will be running at a reduced operating capacity for the welfare of our crew. Only one of our two snack bar order windows will be open, and some hot food items (such as burgers and fries) may be unavailable.
Online ticket holders: If you are unable to attend tonight's showing due to the air quality conditions, please email us before showtime for a reschedule or refund, and we will happily accommodate you.
Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Shankweiler’s was recently awarded BEST DRIVE-IN THEATER in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Our drive-in theater is located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

MINIONS & MONSTERS continues to headline at Shankweiler's, but starting Friday, July 10, we switch out our co‑feature for a very special pairing.
Minions & Monsters is a loving homage to cinema history, with a focus on genre movies and the iconic Universal monsters! We decided to do something we haven’t done for a while and pair a classic film with a new release. We proudly present our personal favorite Universal monster movie, the 1999 modern classic THE MUMMY. It's an unusually perfect pairing for a summer night at the drive‑in!
You can come for one feature or stay for both. Each admission ticket covers both movies.

JULY 14 is our Retro Tuesday event.

MOANA sails into Shankweiler's on Friday, July 17! This highly anticipated live-action remake comes ten years after the original animated adventure hit theaters! After intermission, TOY STORY 5 returns for an encore presentation!
