Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Shankweiler’s was recently awarded BEST DRIVE-IN THEATER in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Our drive-in theater is located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

On Friday, September 25, 2026, from 7pm to Midnight, Shankweiler's proudly presents the return of our premiere nighttime shopping experience: our second annual NIGHT MARKET! This is our biggest market of the year, with over 70 carefully curated vendors signed up!
Join us for a celebration of Gothic macabre and majesty. This early foray into the fall season brings a curious selection of spellbinding style, ghoulish goods, steampunk flair, and whimsical oddities.
This event is FREE to attend and shop at. Our snack bar will also be open with our full menu of tasty treats, seasonal delights, and classic drive-in favorites including our famous popcorn!
