Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Shankweiler’s was recently awarded BEST DRIVE-IN THEATER in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Our drive-in theater is located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

Starting Friday, July 3, Shankweiler's Drive-In proudly presents MINIONS & MONSTERS! We're thrilled to kick off this holiday weekend with another big, brand-new summertime family feature! Minions will also be presented in a classic drive-in double feature. After intermission, we pick up the new Steven Speilberg sci-fi epic, DISCLOSURE DAY!

July 10-13 & 15-16
MINIONS & MONSTERS continues to headline at Shankweiler's, but starting Friday, July 10, we switch out our co‑feature for a very special pairing.
Minions & Monsters is a loving homage to cinema history, with a focus on genre movies and the iconic Universal monsters! We decided to do something we haven’t done for a while and pair a classic film with a new release. We proudly present our personal favorite Universal monster movie, the 1999 modern classic THE MUMMY. It's an unusually perfect pairing for a summer night at the drive‑in!
You can come for one feature or stay for both. Each admission ticket covers both movies.

On Sunday, July 12, from 9:00am - 2:00pm, Shankweiler’s teams up with our friends and neighbors at Crooked Row Farm for a mid-summer edition of our FARM & FOOD FESTIVAL at the drive-in, celebrating the diverse and delicious foods of the Lehigh Valley!
This event is free to attend and aims to bring together local farms and growers, food trucks and prepared food vendors, and food-adjacent retail vendors as both a celebration of food and an opportunity to build community.
July 14
On Tuesday, July 14, we're celebrating America's 250th birthday with the boys... It's a Retro Tuesday presentation of BEAVIS AND BUTT-HEAD DO AMERICA! Join is for some star-spangled shenanigans with the dynamically dubious duo that defined the peak of the MTV era. Tickets are available now! "TP for your bunghole" sold separately.
