Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Shankweiler’s was recently awarded BEST DRIVE-IN THEATER in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Our drive-in theater is located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

Summer may not be over yet over, but our fall programming gets an early start with PRACTICAL MAGIC 2! Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return in this bewitching follow-up to the beloved supernatural romance that has become a generational seasonal staple. This premiere will be presented as a double feature. Our cofeature will be THE END OF OAK STREET.

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Shankweiler’s teams up with our friends and neighbors at Crooked Row Farm for an early-autumn edition of our Farm & Food Festival market series, celebrating the diverse and delicious foods of the Lehigh Valley and beyond!
The Farm & Food Autumn Market is a daytime vendor event held outdoors at Shankweiler's Drive-In Theatre in Orefield, PA, on September 13 from 9AM-2PM. This will be the biggest food markets we've hosted with over 30 unique food vendors signed up!
This event is free to attend and aims to bring together local farms and growers, food trucks, prepared food vendors, and food-adjacent retail vendors as both a celebration of food and an opportunity to build community.
