Shankweiler's Drive-In, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Shankweiler’s was recently awarded BEST DRIVE-IN THEATER in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
Our drive-in theater is located in the Lehigh Valley, Orefield, Pennsylvania, just off Route 309.

INSIDIOUS: OUT OF THE FURTHER continues to headline another week at Shankweiler's. Starting this Friday, August 28, we catch up with the new comedy, SUPER TROOPERS 3!
We do still have a small supply of collectable Super Troopers popcorn buckets and cups, but we're almost out! Commemorative cups/buckets are only available to ticket holders in attendance, and all sales are first come, first serve.

Retro Tuesday returns in a way you've never seen it before! Introducing, TOMATO TUESDAY, featuring the 1978 cult classic, ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES! After intermission, we team up once again with our friends at Starboard Entertainment to bring a brand-new state-of-the-art and sequel to our giant screen, ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES: ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE. Full of laughs, splats, and ketchup-infused comedy. Also our friend and Lehigh Valley legend Daniel Roebuck is in the movie!

Ka‑Chow! Labor Day Weekend kicks off a 20th‑anniversary celebration that brings some high octane energy to the final laps of our summertime seven-night spree before we shift gears into our fall operating schedule. CARS returns to the drive‑in for a rare cinematic event.
This iconic Disney/Pixar modern classic is especially meaningful to Lauren and me, as it pays homage to the Mother Road, Route 66, and the communities and attractions that still dot the historic highway. Our own journey along this route was a major inspiration for becoming the next stewards of Shankweiler’s! So join us for one last big summer road trip as we present a rare opportunity to see Cars on our giant screen under the stars.
This presentation will be shown as a double feature. Our cofeature will Coyote vs. Acme!
